The Electronics Technologist is responsible for identifying and managing asset reliability risks that could adversely affect welding equipment and systems. You will be responsible for defining, designing, developing, monitoring, and refining asset maintenance plans for plant welding systems and sub systems.

Requirements

  • A minimum of an associate’s degree in a technical field/Electrical Technology plus twelve (12) years of practical experience in machining or a similar manufacturing field OR a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in machining or a similar manufacturing field is required.
  • Must have extensive experience with the maintenance and operations of automated welding equipment.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
  • Must be familiar with PLC and automated computer controls.
  • Must have SAP Plant Maintenance experience.
  • Must be able to support equipment outages/shutdown and must be able to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, and call-in's when required.
  • Must be capable of working in a team environment with Engineering, Maintenance Craftsmen, FLMs and Vendors.
  • Must be capable of providing technical support to Industrial Engineering Craftsmen and assist in defining appropriate corrective actions in a lead role.
  • Must have working knowledge of National Electric Codes, National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes and OSHA.
  • Must be able to demonstrate superior written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Perform value added preventive maintenance tasks and effective utilization of proactive and predictive technologies.
  • Develop engineering solutions to minimize repetitive equipment failures.
  • Responsible for oversight of vendor maintenance on equipment and systems.
  • Responsible for creating and reviewing SAP maintenance metrics/reports to enhance equipment uptime.
  • Update/generate procedures, forms, and review/generate change documents.
  • Provide technical support to Electrical and Electronics Craftsmen.
