About The Position

Responsible for assembling, packaging, testing, evaluating, and repairing of electromechanical devices including disposable, pneumatic, electronic, mechanical, and video components.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of assembly experience required in a repair/production environment.
  • Must be flexible to work different shifts or overtime as needed to support production schedules and meet quality objectives.
  • Ability to work with small parts.
  • Ability to work with magnification equipment such as microscopes, eye loops, etc.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read Blueprints.
  • Proven experience in soldering.
  • Understanding of mechanical principles and common hand tools.
  • Experience using measuring instruments such as: gauges, micrometers, calipers, and comparators.
  • Beginner PC skills.
  • Experience with and understanding of multi-cultural and multi-generational differences and the ability to work within this environment is crucial for successful employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics, or equivalent technical training preferred.
  • Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) preferred.
  • Understanding of electronic measuring equipment such as digital multimeters, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Reads and interprets drawings, schematics, in conjunction with work instructions (WI) and bills of materials (BOM’s).
  • Performs mechanical skills such as assembly, soldering, grinding, buffing, gluing, welding, and cleaning with various solutions and adhesives.
  • Performs electronic assembly of surface mount, through hole components, wiring, and connector installations.
  • Performs preventative maintenance on equipment used by the department.
  • Performs repairs, testing, and alignment of electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, video imaging and HF devices.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs electronic circuits, components, and wiring issues.
  • Provides cross-training for team members.
  • Supports continuous improvement and Lean within the organization.
  • Cleans, packs and processes Electromechanical finished goods, includes working in a clean room environment.
  • Operates manufacturing equipment as required for processes (lathe, milling, hammering, punch presses, pneumatic, grinding, polishing and testing devices, etc.).
  • Performs equipment and room cleaning as needed.
  • Maintains 6S on workspaces, equipment, and room cleaning as needed.
  • Promotes and models RWMIC Core Values in all interactions and responsibilities.
  • Completes daily production documentation accurately.
  • Performs laser welding for various electromechanical devices as needed.
  • Product testing and inspection for department products.
  • Monitors rate of production / repair and reports to Manager.
  • Adheres to Standard Operating Procedures for assembly processes.
  • Adheres to quality standards for assembly processes, and documents all work as per procedures.
  • Adheres to all PPE and safety requirements.
  • Aware of and complies with the RWMIC Quality Manual and regulations & requirements as they apply to this job type/position.
  • Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager – Electromechanical.
