About The Position
Electronic Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and testing electronic control modules.
Requirements
- Ability to communicate courteously and effectively with coworkers
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Schematic reading and layout drawing reading
- Demonstrate proper use of DVM, oscilloscope, tracker and other diagnostic tools
- Ability to identify different types of electronic components
- Commitment to meeting production demands and quality requirements
- Understand Customer requirements as they relate to their job function
- Ability to identify and address and/or communicate any potential non-conformances
- Ability to get to work on time with minimal absences
- Soldering experience
Responsibilities
- Learn & follow detailed work instructions
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities listed below
- Check tag and test unit for failure
- Find and review schematic and board prints
- Troubleshoot board
- Repair board by using test equipment and replacing parts with soldering equipment
- Retest to ensure board passes
- Keep log of units repaired in CMS system
- Participate in various improvement activities
