About The Position

PCSI is looking for an Electronics Technician II in Ft. Knox, Kentucky. This position involves performing troubleshooting, repair, or replacement on various systems including controls, fire and safety devices, access control systems, CCTV, and security systems. The role reports to the Electrical Supervisor and is based out of Ft. Knox, Kentucky. Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Requirements

  • Must have at least four years related experience.
  • Able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb ladders. Frequently required to kneel, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Required to be able to lift 50 lbs. up to 10 times per day.
  • Ability to understand AC/DC electrical systems related to controls.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.
  • Ability to read and understand control drawings, electronic schematics, electrical diagrams, and construction drawings.
  • In depth knowledge of electronic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction and supervision.
  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.
  • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting, repair, or replacement on systems and controls, fire and safety devices, access control systems, CCTV, and security systems.
  • Maintains, repairs, and installs various types of electronic equipment and related devices such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment.
  • Monitor building energy management controls through various IT networks.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace and install controls such as sensors, relays, actuators, electrical components, and wiring.
  • Applies comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturer manuals or similar documents.
  • Applies technical knowledge of electronic principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skill in restoring equipment operations.
  • Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments.
  • Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, and work is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices.
  • May provide technical guidance to lower-level technicians.
  • Perform work IAW Performance Work Statement (PWS) guidelines.
