Lynker is searching for a talented Electronics Technician, with a knack for customer service, to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Center for Operational Oceanographic Products and Services (CO-OPS). The Electronics Technician is responsible for the preparation and testing of systems and instruments prior to deployment and in providing support for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of these systems after they are deployed. The responsibilities require very limited occasional travel along the East and Gulf Coast from Maine through Louisiana, including all five of the Great Lakes and their connecting waterways to service the measurement systems. Travel includes trips that are typically less than one week in duration. These tasks require the operation of Government-owned vehicles (a valid driver's license is required). You shall perform field work utilizing standard physical abilities including light lifting, ladder climbing, and occasional deployment aboard small vessels (which requires completion of a boater safety course). Occasional surge support may be required for this task.
