About The Position

Day & Zimmermann is seeking a full-time Electronics Technician for their Munitions Plants in Parsons, Kansas. This role involves installing, testing, and maintaining electronic systems, including troubleshooting, calibration, and repair. The technician will work with blueprints and technical drawings to maintain and repair electronic systems, including network and device communication systems (CAT 5/6, fiber, coaxial). Responsibilities also include installing cable support structures and ensuring proper labeling. The company emphasizes safety, quality, and supporting the U.S. Military. High School and/or equivalent.
3 years prior experience
Valid Driver's License
Proficiency in PLC operations
Ability to wear a mask, respirator, bullet proof vest, or other equipment.
Ability to withstand environmental conditions (e.g. extreme heat or cold, grass, wind, sand, fumes, odors, gases, extreme noise, etc.)

Responsibilities

Installs new electronic systems, test and startup new systems.
Maintain and troubleshoot existing electronic systems, including preventive maintenance.
Performs calibration of electrical and electronic devices and test equipment.
Work with blue prints, technical drawings and written specifications in the maintenance and repair of electronic systems.
Install, maintain, and repair cable systems.
Involving network and device communication to include CAT 5/6, fiber, coaxial. etc.
Install various support structures, including cable jacks, j-hooks, ducting, conduit, labeling etc.
