Electronics Technician RF Job Description Candidate must have general knowledge of and be able to use standard electronics lab test equipment such as DMMs, power supplies, hot/cold plates, and soldering iron. Strong soldering experience is a must, and much of the work will involve hand soldering PCBs to baseplates and then attaching SMT components as small as 0201 and devices such as QFNs to populate the sample boards. Assembling cable harnesses and attaching connectors will occasionally be required. Inventory management skills such as deducting components from the system will be part of the role. This role operates somewhat independently supporting a larger team and business objectives via a centrally operated Jira queueing system. Regular communication with design team to assess status and priority of jobs in the assembly queue, or to follow up about material availability is a requirement. Important to have solid technical understanding of standard components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, and basic logic devices. Must possess strong wiring and hand soldering skills, as well as the ability to interpret a functional electronics circuit (schematic and PCB) and explain its function. Self-starting candidates will have strong oral/written communication and organization skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced commercial electronics lab. Applicants with experience in general electronics troubleshooting are strongly encouraged to apply. Solid functional material knowledge of various solders, solder pastes, and fluxes will help get the candidate up to speed quickly. Note : this is a non-exhaustive list of duties and responsibilities. Other tasks will be assigned during the course of your employment.
