About The Position

Electronics Technician (Assembly, Test & Troubleshooting) About Our Company – PulseForge develops and manufactures non-equilibrium processing equipment utilizing cutting-edge flash lamp technology. Our core technology supports new generations of products across multiple industries, including semiconductor manufacturing, electronics, packaging, materials research, and electronics assembly for consumer and automotive products. Position Summary The Electronics Technician is a hands-on role supporting the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of photonic curing systems and related electrical assemblies. This position works across production and engineering activities, including system builds, cable assembly, PCB population, and electrical validation. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded technician with strong assembly and soldering skills, with a preference for individuals who also bring experience in electrical test and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in electronics assembly or similar technical role
  • IPC-A-610 certification
  • Strong experience with: Electrical/mechanical assembly, Cable and harness building, Reading schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Solid soldering skills (through-hole and SMT, fine pitch)
  • Ability to use precision hand tools and basic test equipment
  • Comfortable working in a production and lab environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with electrical testing and troubleshooting of complex systems
  • Familiarity with oscilloscopes and advanced diagnostics
  • Experience supporting engineering prototype builds
  • Experience with PCB assembly or rework, including SMT or fine-pitch components
  • Lean manufacturing / 6S experience
  • Experience working with or around high-voltage systems

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electrical and electro-mechanical systems, including cabinets, chassis, and enclosures
  • Build custom cable assemblies and wire harnesses
  • Perform component-level assembly using wiring diagrams, schematics, and production documentation
  • Perform soldering of through-hole and SMT components for both production and prototype work
  • Support Engineering with prototype builds and design iterations
  • Perform functional and electrical testing of assemblies and systems
  • Use test equipment including: Digital multimeters (DMM), Oscilloscopes, Cable testers and diagnostic tools
  • Troubleshoot failed assemblies down to component or subsystem level
  • Work safely with high-voltage equipment
  • Follow and contribute to development of test procedures and documentation
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Perform in-process self-checks to ensure quality and workmanship standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace aligned with 6S / Lean practices
  • Identify and escalate build, test, or documentation issues
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across production and test
