About The Position

The Electronics Technician Maintenance II will perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical areas. This role involves maintaining and supporting A-10 FMT systems, verifying operational status, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing discrepancies. The technician will document all maintenance actions, coordinate for parts, and install changes and updates to simulators and support equipment. The position requires applying conventional engineering practices, utilizing detailed circuit diagrams, and working with various test equipment.

Requirements

  • High school Diploma.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree or completion of one of the US military electronics schools or successful completion of a commercial electronics technician program is desired.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and electrical diagrams.
  • Knowledge of A-10 aircraft, flight training, and a working knowledge of engineering concepts.
  • Direct related and understanding of AutoCAD electrical and mechanical drawings, ability to review software source formatting.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support A-10 FMT systems.
  • Verify operational status of A-10 FMT systems.
  • Complete preventive maintenance.
  • Identify, record, and transmit discrepancies.
  • Troubleshoot and repair discrepancies.
  • Document all maintenance actions taken.
  • Coordinate for replacement parts and additional support as required.
  • Install changes and updates to simulators and support equipment as required.
  • Apply conventional engineering practices to complete required tasks.
  • Utilize detailed circuit diagrams; hardware or test equipment involving a variety of mechanisms.
  • Conduct tests in support of troubleshooting to resolve maintenance issues or verify discrepancies that require selection and adaptation or modification of a wide variety of critical test equipment and test procedures.
  • Set up and operate equipment.
  • Record data, measure and record problems of significant complexity that sometimes require resolution at a higher level.
  • Analyze data and prepare discrepancy reports.
  • Attend necessary weekly, monthly, and quarterly meetings as required or directed by the Program Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
