About The Position

Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is seeking to hire an Electronics Technician Maintenance I at White Sands Missile Range (WSMR) based out of their facilities in Orogrande, NM. This role involves applying basic technical knowledge to perform simple or routine tasks following detailed instructions, such as replacing components, wiring circuits, repairing simple electronic equipment, and taking test readings using common instruments. The technician will apply technical knowledge of electronics principles to determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to working condition, as well as evaluate performance and reliability. This position works under close supervision, with frequent checks for accuracy.

Requirements

Two-year degree in the Electronics field or equivalent or High School diploma + two (2) years Avionics/Electronics experience.
Computer/Networking/MS Office.
Basic electronics background with an avionics background preferred.
Must be able to deploy to both CONUS and OCONUS.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. to the waist.
Current NM or TX Driver’s License required; must be able to be insured through company’s vehicle insurance policy while driving work/government/rental vehicles during working hours, and for the duration of employment.
U.S. Citizenship required.
Must be able to obtain a U.S. DoD Secret Security Clearance within 45 days of hire date and maintain Clearance throughout employment.
All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.

Avionics background preferred.

Responsibilities

Applying basic technical knowledge to perform routine O&M tasks following detailed instructions.
Troubleshooting and isolating electronic circuits and interpreting Technical Manuals and schematics.
Modifying and installing various types of electronic equipment and related devices.
Work includes cross-utilization into other positions that fall within our scope of work.
Other duties as assigned.
