About The Position

The Electronics Technician I applies basic technical knowledge to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Work requires familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence, in selecting tools, testing instruments, and is reviewed for compliance with accepted practices. This technician works under immediate supervision and achieves technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician. Experience performing overhauls and repairs on any of the following shipboard electronics systems: High Frequency (HF), Radio Frequency (RF), High Frequency Radio Group (HFRG), Digital Modular Radio (DMR), Navy Multiband Terminal (NMT), Tactical Air Navigation System (TACAN), Electronic Support Measures (ESM), or Naval Shipboard Antenna Systems. Operational knowledge of URN-25, WSC-3, USQ-122, SSR-1, URT-23, DAMA, WRL-8, STC-2 a plus.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years current C4ISR or other relevant experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, installation and deinstallation of electronic systems, equipment, components, antennas, cables, cableways, waveguides and ducts.
  • Experience using logic analyzers and digital oscilloscopes.
  • High School education.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of technical and management personnel.
  • Must possess and maintain a Secret US DoD security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Operational knowledge of URN-25, WSC-3, USQ-122, SSR-1, URT-23, DAMA, WRL-8, STC-2.
  • Quality Management System (QMS) experience that is compatible with ISO 9001:2008 and 2015.

Responsibilities
