About The Position

M.C. Dean is seeking an Electronics Technician 4 to join their Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business unit. This role involves designing, engineering, integrating, operating, and maintaining electronic security services, including intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, IT systems, perimeter defense, and command and control systems for federal, local, and commercial customers. The company emphasizes building intelligence through cyber-physical solutions for mission-critical facilities and complex infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Requires a Valid driver's license.
  • Selected candidates must possess an acceptable driving record in accordance to our policy.
  • HS diploma or GED Military Electronics Training (minimum 720 classroom hours) or Graduation from an accredited Electronics Technician program or Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program.
  • An additional three (3) years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities.
  • 8+ years of electronics installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems and with multiple customer programs.
  • 3 years of the above experience must be focused in electronic security systems.
  • Strong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills.
  • Demonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
  • Must be able to travel 50%.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint Skills is a plus.
  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS, and CCTV systems CCURE, Lenel, Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS, AIphone Intercom Systems Airphone, FFT, DIVAR, Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems.

Responsibilities

  • Installing and maintaining electronic security systems.
  • Performing preventive maintenance requirements.
  • Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
  • Leading teams on large complex installation projects with limited supervision.
  • Leading and documenting daily toolbox talks, ORMs and Safety Audits.
  • Installing and maintaining equipment at both the local and global level per design packages.
  • Programming and installation of head end equipment for Access Control, Intrusion Detection and CCTV systems.
  • Troubleshooting and isolating both systems and/or hardware at both a local and global level.
  • Leading the on-site software commissioning and testing.
  • Performing inspections, evaluations, and inventory.
  • Performing take-off project drawings.
  • Creating, documenting, and tracking RFIs.
  • Providing design assist and feedback.
  • Documenting daily reports and project progress.
  • Communicating project and team member issues/concerns to management.
  • Creating and managing project schedules.
  • Integration of IDS, ACS and CCTV systems.
  • Forecasting and managing project labor hours.
  • Communicating effectively with supervisors and subordinates.
  • Guiding and mentoring technicians.
  • Position requires 100% travel.
