About The Position

At MKS Power Solutions in Rochester, New York, the Electronics Technician partners with Operations to set up and test boards, subassemblies, and full assemblies. The role also assists Technical Operations with test development for future MKS products. The position reports to the Production Test Supervisor. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed. Travel is not expected.

Requirements

• Two-year degree in Electronics Technology, or equivalent experience and/or military experience in electronics.
• Able to work a set schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Attention to detail in assigned tasks.
• Self-sufficient.
• Able to work overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to read a schematic.
• Two or more years of experience.
• Visual Factory experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and test boards, subassemblies, and full assemblies.
• Follow test specifications, methods, and procedures provided by Technical Operations.
• Troubleshoot routine unit problems.
• Work with Technical Operations on development of future MKS products.
• Clearly report issues to Technical Operations and assist with problem-solving.
