About The Position

Will be required to provide services and support, not limited to, the following critical patient care areas: Emergency Department, Linen & Central Services, Pediatric & Neonatal & other Intensive Care Units, Inpatient care areas requiring overnight stays for patients, Psychiatric & Complex Intervention Units, Transplant Units, Labor & Delivery, Cath Labs, and a Heliport. Responsibilities include supporting the Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) along with the areas and occupants of a Chapel and Convent. Mayo Clinic Hospital – Rochester is accredited by The Joint Commission. Staff will be expected to complete Preventive Maintenance (PM) per policies and/or procedures following the CMMS timeline. The timeline and PM completion rate is in alignment with The Joint Commission requirements. Technicians may be required to perform activities outside of their job classification. An Electronic Equipment Technician repairs, calibrates, maintains and performs preventative maintenance and makes purchasing recommendations for building electronics. Systems include but not limited to: card access, fire systems, security cameras, conveyance systems, intercoms, public address systems and cable TV. The technician maintains much of the building electronics used to run the facilities assigned. This equipment and systems must be maintained such that it can produce the accurate results needed to monitor and run the buildings assigned. The ability to read schematics, blueprints and operates a variety of equipment related to the diagnosis of electronic equipment. The technician must prioritize the work appropriately and be available to work overtime as needed. Technicians must be customer focused with good communication and interpersonal skills. The technician must be committed to continuously improving their knowledge and abilities in order to become and remain proficient.

Responsibilities
