About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Repair Technician in Warner Robins, GA for an 8-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. The Electronics Repair Technician will support the production, repair, modification, and maintenance of complex electronic equipment and Electronic Warfare systems. This hands-on role involves soldering, cable and harness assembly, circuit card repair, continuity testing, and assembly work performed from technical drawings and specifications.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience fabricating, repairing, or modifying complex electronic assemblies.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Current IPC J-STD-001 soldering certification.
• Electrical soldering and micro-soldering experience.
• Cable and wire-harness assembly experience.
• Experience repairing circuit cards, electronic assemblies, shop-replaceable units, or line-replaceable units.
• Ability to read and interpret production specifications, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Ability to perform electronic and mechanical assembly operations.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, jigs, and related production equipment.
• Ability to perform continuity checks on work in process and completed assemblies.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions and technical procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Surface-mount soldering experience.
• Ability to assemble and disassemble electronic equipment using detailed drawings, work instructions, or technical orders.
• Experience supporting Electronic Warfare equipment.
• Experience testing experimental or prototype assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electronic and mechanical modules, boards, panels, drawers, frames, cables, and subassemblies.
• Fabricate, repair, and modify electronic assemblies and wiring harnesses.
• Perform soldering and micro-soldering according to IPC J-STD-001 requirements.
• Work from production diagrams, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Create initial layouts and complete assembly operations using hand and power tools.
• Perform continuity testing on in-process and completed work.
• Disassemble, modify, rework, and reassemble electronic equipment.
• Test repaired, experimental, or prototype assemblies according to specifications.
• Maintain workmanship and quality standards for mission-critical electronic systems.
