RMC is hiring a Senior Repair Specialist to support our customer in Dahlgren, VA. The selected applicant can expect to: Be responsible for maintaining, conducting periodic maintenance, and supporting Guidance Test Set (GTS) test events. Troubleshoot hardware issues down to the circuit board level and fabricating custom cables. Travel (CONUS and OCONUS) and support shipboard and field test events as needed.

Requirements

Three (3) years of general maintenance and repair experience in computer based electro-mechanical equipment.
Demonstrated ability to solder multi-layer circuit cards, cables, and connectors.
Demonstrated ability to analyze circuit card assemblies to identify problems at the component level.
Read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
Work with electrical diagnostic tools.
Follow existing procedures for equipment at the component, chassis, or system level.
Perform research on Commercial-Off-The- Shelf (COTS) material.
Ability to travel (CONUS and OCONUS) and embark naval vessels.
An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Current J-STD-001 solder certification.
Operator IPC 620 wire harness and cable certification.

Responsibilities

Maintaining Guidance Test Set (GTS) test events
Conducting periodic maintenance on GTS
Supporting GTS test events
Troubleshooting hardware issues down to the circuit board level
Fabricating custom cables
Travel (CONUS and OCONUS) and support shipboard and field test events as needed
