About The Position

Component-Level Electronics Repair Specialist Step into a hands-on role where you bring complex electronic and mechanical systems back to life. Your day moves from bench diagnostics to fixture fabrication, from customer conversations to root-cause analysisall while championing quality, safety, and continuous improvement. A day in the life Troubleshoot and repair sophisticated electronic and/or mechanical equipment at the component level. Contribute to intermediate product development efforts, offering feedback from the service bench. Interface with customers to clarify symptoms, report findings, and discuss corrective actions. Design and build complex test fixtures and tooling to support diagnostics and repair. Analyze warranty returns and determine root causes; recommend corrective and preventive actions. Complete all required service reports and documentation accurately and on time. Embody the ATS Culture Initiative by improving processes, applying quantitative measures, completing quality core classes, using the Core Values daily, and following all company/customer safety procedures.

Requirements

  • Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college/technical school; and 58 years of related experience/training; or 10 years of equivalent combined education and experience.
  • Fluency reading technical documents (safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, procedures), writing routine reports/correspondence, and speaking effectively to customer or employee groups.
  • Comfort with calculations such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; working knowledge of algebra, physics, and geometry.
  • Ability to interpret written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions and solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Deep understanding of electronics and/or mechanics with intermediate-to-advanced troubleshooting skills developed through hands-on repair experience.
