Position Overview: Linde Gases US is currently seeking an Electronics QA Engineer to join the team located in Taylor, TX. Job Scope: Coordinates and/or supports all of the quality training of the Linde Taylor production facility. The individual is responsible for all aspects of compliance with the ISO9001, FSSC22000, and applicable cGMP quality systems. Establishes, monitors, and reports on-site quality and improvement initiatives. Ensures that LGUS Electronics’ quality management practices and operational quality procedures are aligned with the SH&E strategies; that they are being applied consistently & correctly across the facility, and that they will achieve the stated requirements safely and efficiently, to the satisfaction of our customers. Works closely with plant personnel to maintain a quality management program that meets or exceeds all internal and external customer requirements. Performs periodic data trend reviews in Northwest Analytics (NWA), and SEEQ to present to customers as needed. Responds to customer quality questionnaires, as well as maintains Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) surveys. Reviews material specifications and revisions to supplier handbooks from a quality perspective Manages customer complaints (Product/Customer Incidents). Ensures complaints are addressed in a timely and effective manner including containment, root cause investigation and corrective/preventative action. Facilitates formation of the cross functional investigation team and supports the investigation process utilizing Fishbone, 5 Why, Causal Tree or other disciplined problem solving process Ensures that a professional quality 8D investigation report is produced for each external customer complaint within expected target dates. Presents investigation findings to customers verbally, as needed. Ensures corrective actions identified through customer complaint investigation are completed within target date and that actions are effective in reducing or eliminating the possibility of recurrence. Ensures Recall/Containment Actions and Procedures are considered to be best in class and are deemed to be effective. Continually trains team members on corrective and preventive action. Assists in completing new and periodic metrology studies (MSAs) in alignment with customer expectations and requirements. Reviews customer quality bulletins and initiatives and develops action plans through implementation as appropriate. Represents the local quality management system during regulatory, internal, and third party/customer audits and/or inquiries. Conduct internal audits on a regular basis. Review SPC/SQC charts with customers. Ensures site compliance with Process Change Control and Document Control programs Able to champion the continuous improvement process and be the primary “change agent” at the location. Solves problems collaboratively in a team environment. Helps to establish the site SPC program, including development of pages in SEEQ, review of limits, review of out-of-control items, tracking of action plans for out-of-control items, leading the quality review team for the site. Be the champion of the sites audit and assessment program, leading audits of site operations on a regular basis and tracking closure of Corrective Action Reports for those items.
