About The Position

Leidos’ Defense Systems Electronics Manufacturing is seeking an Electronics Manufacturing Test Engineer to support our Electronics Manufacturing Facility. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with 8-12 years of prior relevant work experience or a Masters degree with 6-10 years of prior relevant work experience
  • Experience with electronic assembly testing, including In-circuit Functional Testers.
  • Proficiency with schematic capture tools.
  • Experience developing test code in NI LabVIEW, TestStand, or Python.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic/electro-mechanical assemblies using standard test equipment.
  • Proficiency in production control processes, document/spreadsheet creation for manufacturing.
  • Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and manufacturing documentation.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Secret Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Understanding of RF test equipment (Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, RF generators).
  • General overall understanding of electronic test production in high volume environment (Flying Probe, MDA, ICT, Boundary Scan)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, test, manufacturing engineers) to define requirements and develop test hardware/software.
  • Prepare and deploy test hardware for production testing; coordinate with suppliers for hardware manufacturing.
  • Develop and implement test software (using NI LabVIEW, TestStand, or Python) for production assemblies.
  • Set up and operate manual/automated test equipment for functional, environmental, and life tests.
  • Identify and mitigate test readiness issues; troubleshoot assemblies to the component level using standard test equipment.
  • Analyze test results, recommend corrective actions, and suggest improvements to test procedures and assembly processes.
  • Use schematic capture tools for hardware design; create and maintain manufacturing documents, work instructions, and inventory reports.
  • Work on a range of products for both military and commercial customers.
