Electronics Inspector
About The Position
Verify, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies. The inspector will ensure parts meet engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and specifications. This role involves reporting inspection results directly to the customer via a web application. The position is based in San Antonio, TX, and is for an initial duration of 6 months with potential for extension. The compensation is $27.00 - $32.00 per hour, depending on experience. For candidates relocating to the San Antonio area, eligible travel expenses and per diem will be provided according to GSA guidelines. The work schedule is a 4x10 A/B shift, with options for a Sunday-Wednesday schedule (with potential Thursday overtime) or a Wednesday-Saturday schedule (with potential Tuesday overtime). Start times are either 5:00 am or 2:30 pm.
Requirements
- Practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on wire harness and cables.
- Ability to perform inspections to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
- Experience inspecting wires, cables, harnesses to IPC 620 standard.
- Experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with the AS9102 standard.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Must be computer savvy and own a laptop for this assignment.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of five years of experience performing inspections in aerospace or military/defense manufacturing.
