About The Position

CACI is seeking an Electronics Exploitation (EE) Deployer to embark on overseas deployments, tackling challenges in critical intelligence communities. The role involves electronic analysis of target devices, from basic signaling to advanced modifications, and crafting reports and briefings on characterization, vulnerabilities, and exploitation recommendations. You will collaborate with engineers and subject matter experts to solve complex problems and research emerging techniques through laboratory-based analyses. Responsibilities include capturing, characterizing, and identifying electronic components, RF receiver and transmitter modules, operating frequencies, and power. You will also identify electronic components visually, conduct research, develop schematics of electronics systems, analyze, demodulate, and decode signals to extract intelligence data, and develop standardized tools and techniques for signal analysis. Additionally, you will perform electronic data recovery on various devices using forensic tools, create technical reports on captured data, and maintain chain of custody for evidence.

Requirements

  • Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field with 3 years of experience OR associate degree and 5 years of experience OR High School diploma and 6 years of experience.
  • Physical ability and commitment to global deployment for 6-month rotations.
  • Expertise in electronic schematic design and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in identifying electronic components and characterizing circuits.
  • Mastery of laboratory benchtop equipment (Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of RF communications and standard RF measurements.

Nice To Haves

  • BSE in Electrical Engineering
  • Familiarity with IED and/or UXS techniques, tactics, and procedures (TTP)
  • Experience collaborating with military organizations, such as EOD units
  • Background in CELLEX, DOMEX, and MEDEX forensics
  • Hands-on experience with IED/UAS electronics
  • Understanding of programming languages

  • Team up with brilliant engineers and subject matter experts to solve complex problems and respond to RFIs.
  • Stay at the forefront of technology by researching emerging techniques and conducting laboratory-based analyses.
  • Capture, characterize and identify electrical/electronic RF receiver and transmitter modules, operating frequencies and power.
  • Identify electronic components visually, conduct research, provide information, develop accurate schematics of electronics systems using provided tools and techniques.
  • Analyze, demodulate and decode signals in order to extract intelligence data and develop standardized demodulation and decoding tools and techniques for commonly encountered signals.
  • Perform electronic data recovery on various devices using state-of-the-art forensic tools, such as XRY, Cellbrite and Graykey.
  • Create engaging technical reports on captured data.
  • Maintain meticulous chain of custody and expertly handle evidence to ensure forensic integrity.
  • Be the go-to expert in a forward level 2 exploitation lab, supporting DOD Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) and many other military organizations.
  • Handle the collection and exploitation of recovered electronic devices.
  • Coordinate with CONUS-based engineering staff, generate forensics reports, and respond to analytical requirements.
  • Maintain assigned equipment, provide mission support, conduct training, and field your capabilities in electrical forensics applications, tools, and systems.
  • When not deployed, dive into cutting-edge training exercises supporting US and Partner forces.
  • Collaborate with top-tier technical forensic engineers, contributing expertise to advanced level 3 exploitation projects.
