About The Position

The Electronics Equipment Technician II provides technical support on a daily basis in a training or functional environment including, but not limited to, preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, system installation, removal and configuration, troubleshooting, reporting inventory and quality management system support. Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
  • Radar training Any Civilian or Military radar training i.e. AN/TPQs, AN/MPQ’s AN/MJQ, Ku Radio Frequency System (KRFS) fire control radar, Low Quadrant Elevation Multi-Function RF System (MFRFS) radar, Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) system, Air and Missile Defense Workstation (AMDWS), etc.
  • Electronic training
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education/experience; or an associate’s degree and a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Applies comprehensive knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents.
  • Applies judgement to the planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments, as well as provide familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits.
  • Performs testing utilizing Oscilloscopes, Digital volt/ohm meters, and other test equipment.
  • Performs fact finding and analysis, as required, to address a single activity or a routine problem, and apply established procedures where the nature of the system, feasibility, computer equipment, operating system and programming language have been decided.
  • Conducts research on routine user problems and solve them by modifying the existing system when the solutions follow clear precedents.
  • Assists higher level technicians and provide guidance to lower-level technicians.
