About The Position

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Engineering Technician in Orlando, Florida for a one-year onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will provide hands-on technical support to engineering teams through electrical fabrication, soldering, cable and harness assembly, technical documentation, data collection, and test support.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in an electronics fabrication, cable and harness, SMT board fabrication, or military product maintenance environment.
3+ years of experience with soldering and harness fabrication to MIL-STD requirements.
3+ years of experience fabricating electrical equipment from blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and technical instructions.
Experience communicating technical, design, and process issues to engineers and management.
3+ years of experience using software tools and Microsoft Office products.
Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation, schematics, drawings, and technical data.
Experience gathering, formatting, maintaining, and documenting technical or test data.
Ability to work effectively with engineers and other technical personnel.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established technical processes.
U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

J-STD-001 solder certification.
IPC-7711/IPC-7711 certification or experience.
Experience with cable and wire-harness fabrication.
SMT board fabrication experience.
Experience maintaining or supporting military-design hardware.
Experience with procurement or acquisition of test materials.
Experience interpreting and building test equipment from engineering documentation.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Provide technical support to engineers on a variety of engineering and fabrication tasks.
Gather, maintain, format, compile, and manipulate engineering and test data.
Support documentation of laboratory results, material-test data, and engineering changes.
Produce technical documentation, reports, flowcharts, block diagrams, and schematics.
Fabricate electrical hardware from engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical guides.
Perform soldering, cable, harness, and related electronics fabrication activities.
Conduct tests and record data to support engineering evaluations and analyses.
Perform basic mathematical calculations and preliminary technical-data analysis using established methods.
Communicate fabrication, design, and process issues to engineers and management.
Support test-equipment build and material procurement activities as needed.
