About The Position

We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client. This role involves participating in the full PCB design cycle including schematic design, component selection, supervision or completion of layout, bring-up, functional verification, and performance testing. The engineer will design, develop, integrate, and debug avionics systems and subsystems for aircraft and launcher electrical systems, define wire harnesses connecting systems within the air vehicle, and support design updates driven by product improvements, obsolescence, and evolving requirements. The position also includes conducting peer-level and cross-disciplinary design reviews, performing circuit board design, bring-up, and validation from concept to functional prototype, applying knowledge of analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuits and components for system integration, and using common test equipment and CAD tools such as Altium for design and validation. Work will involve microcontrollers, common serial interfaces, and firmware or software integration, as well as applying familiarity with MIL-spec hardware and harnessing for aerospace systems.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (as defined by ITAR).
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3 to 5+ years of relevant industry experience in electronics design and development.
  • Demonstrated capability in circuit board design, bring-up, and validation.
  • Proven experience designing electronics from concept to functional prototype, including hardware selection, documentation, and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of analog, mixed-signal, and digital circuits and components.
  • Competence with common test equipment and CAD tools such as Altium.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing electronics for robotic and aircraft systems.
  • Hands-on experience with microcontrollers, serial interfaces, and firmware or software integration.
