About The Position

The Electronics Engineer IV independently applies extensive and diverse knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields while leading complex programs. This position directs the electronics design team from concept through production, providing technical leadership, mentoring engineering staff, and driving the development of advanced power conversion, motor control, and embedded systems for aerospace and military applications. Operating with minimal supervision, this role bridges the gap between technical execution, program management, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience in a specialized functional discipline.
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain a Security Clearance
  • Experience in a wide range of testing and test equipment for testing electronic boards and devices with the ability to independently troubleshoot test related issues and independently develop advanced specialized test methodologies
  • CAD Software / Altium (Advanced)
  • Analysis Software / LTspice (Advanced)
  • Hardware and Software Debugging / LabVIEW (Advanced)
  • Aerospace & Military Industry Standards (Advanced)
  • Embedded Computing / FPGA & Microprocessor Architectures (Advanced)

  • OR (12) years of experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree.

Responsibilities

  • Lead engineering development efforts for advanced electronics design projects, including power conversion and motor control systems, with support from a multidisciplinary team
  • Support proposal generation and quotations in response to customer RFIs & RFQs, including technical summaries, engineering effort estimations, and schedule estimates
  • Lead the development of internal design requirements, steering high-reliability products from initial architecture through to full-rate manufacturing
  • Lead the development of new hardware prototypes to confirm manufacturability and performance levels, leveraging FPGA and microprocessor-based system design
  • Support manufacturing readiness by establishing comprehensive test strategies and test documentation to ensure flawless transitions to production
  • Lead Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations for system and design issues, defining clear paths forward and risk management strategies
  • Support program management activities by developing schedules, forecasting Estimate to Complete (ETC) metrics, and managing technical, budget, and compliance risks
  • Provide technical leadership, career development, daily operational support, and active mentoring to the electronics design staff
  • Serve as a primary customer interface, presenting technical reports, design reviews, and project updates while effectively communicating across internal teams
