Requirements

  • Electrical circuit design and troubleshooting experience.
  • 5+ years professional experience.
  • While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance , thus US Citizenship is required.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
  • Experience in synthesizing requirements into electronics design at multiple assembly levels
  • Experience with designing, analyzing, testing and/or troubleshooting electronics components and/or circuits
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineers
  • Demonstrated good communication with the ability to articulate complex technical issues to peers, management, subcontractors and customers
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment and to build consensus among peers and effective relationships with team members
  • Willing and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance which requires US Citizenship

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Missile flight electronic components and/or power distribution subsystems
  • Experience with a combination of design, test and systems engineering disciplines
  • Previous or current Certified Product Engineer (CPE) or equivalent responsible product engineer experience
  • Experience in schematic capture using Zuken or similar tools
  • Experience with failure investigation and root cause analysis
  • Experience with SPICE or other electronics modeling/simulation tools
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Existing Top Secret clearance

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated avionics designs for battery, power distribution, avionics computers and other Avionics subsystems
  • Lead electronics systems development of new reentry bodies
  • Provide technical leadership to a group of junior electronics engineers across multiple programs
  • Interface with production personnel and resolve as issues they arise
  • Participate in technical reviews (TIM, SRR, PDR, CDR) with our customers and co-contractors
