About The Position

EOTECH is seeking an analytical, hands-on Electronics Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Clarksville, TN. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and integration of robust hardware systems, including advanced PCBs featuring high-speed data interfaces, external memory architectures, and RF sections. You will collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary engineering team to develop cutting-edge solutions, from sensor integration and hybrid MCU/FPGA systems to augmented reality (AR) and real-time tactical applications.

Requirements

  • EDA software (Altium, Allegro, or OrCAD) to review and verify multi-layer PCB layouts.
  • Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and VNAs.
  • Sufficient understanding of schematics and system architectures (MCU/SoC, power, wireless) to bridge conversations between R&D and vendors.
  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Electronics Design Engineer or in a similar electronics design role required.
  • Designed, delivered and completed PCBs carrying interfaces such as MIPI D-PHY/CSI-2/DSI, LVDS, HDMI, DisplayPort, USB 3.x, or PCI Express.
  • Experience designing boards using DDR, LPDDR, SDRAM, or other high-speed external memories, including topology selection, byte-lane matching, and signal-integrity validation.
  • Experience designing RF sections and PCB antennas for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, including antenna placement, keepout regions, impedance matching, and RF layout practices.
  • Familiarity with FPGA- and SoC-based systems, including high-speed transceiver interfaces, parallel video buses, clocking, configuration, and power sequencing.
  • Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, pre-employment drug screening, and reference checks.

Responsibilities

  • Design PCBs using ECAD design tools.
  • Build and test prototypes on breadboards.
  • Work with Product/Marketing to finalize specifications, review block diagrams, schematics, and enclosure concepts.
  • Design analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronic circuits.
  • Select electronic components and create schematics and bills of materials (BOMs).
  • Debug, validate, and optimize prototype hardware.
  • Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams throughout product development.
  • Perform circuit simulation, testing, and root cause analysis.
  • Support product certification and ensure compliance with applicable industry standards.
  • Develop engineering documentation and support production release using DFM/DFT best practices.
