About The Position

McLaurin is hiring an Electronics Design Engineer for its JETS II contract team at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. The position supports NASA’s deep-space exploration work and is part of an Electronics and Electrical group of more than 45 engineers. The engineer reports directly to the Electronics and Electrical Section Manager and works with electrical engineers, technicians, and multidisciplinary project teams, sometimes as a team lead. The role supports electronic system development from design conception and analysis through manufacturing, operational testing, and deployment. Work includes designing and testing electronics, instrumentation, circuit boards, test systems, and embedded systems; developing LabVIEW code and test software; preparing verification procedures; and troubleshooting existing systems. The position is performed in a laboratory environment and follows standard operating procedures. The posting is advertised at multiple levels and states that candidates may be considered at any advertised level based on experience, requirements, and business needs. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering is typically required; a related master’s degree may be expected. The posting describes a typical experience level of 10–15 years of related experience. U.S. citizenship and the ability to pass a comprehensive security background investigation are required.
