About The Position

Industrial Physics is seeking an Electronics Assembly Technician for their Greensboro, North Carolina location. This role involves providing solutions for manufacturers, production lines, and laboratories through the development of trusted test and inspection solutions that ensure the quality of packaging, materials, and products. The company is a global leader in packaging and product integrity testing equipment, serving industries such as Food & Beverage, Flexible Packaging, Paints & Coatings, and various Industrial end markets. This position is on-site and requires candidates to be legally authorized to work in the United States without future employer sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or similar area of concentration.
  • Two (2) years in a technically oriented or complex component assembly/test environment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs assembly of electro-mechanical and opto-electronic components utilizing subassembly, assembly, testing, and finishing processes.
  • Sets up, installs, and troubleshoots computer software and hardware using Microsoft Windows Operating Systems.
  • Assembles, troubleshoots, performs acceptance testing, and finishing on electro-mechanical components and assemblies using written work instructions, engineering drawings, assembly procedures, acceptance test procedures, and engineering/industry specifications.
  • Performs gage repeatability (Gage R&R) on systems and transfers data to QC using Microsoft Excel.
  • Utilizes proper and safe use of tools and equipment required for assembly and testing of components and subsystems.
  • Achieves department productivity goals by complying with established priorities, work procedures, and good time management skills.
  • Ensures all technical information is used and work performed is properly recorded on appropriate records, and that inspection tools and equipment are in proper working order and calibrated.
  • Contributes to team projects by exchanging ideas and providing process improvement suggestions.
  • Works well with other departments and develops positive working relationships.
  • Initiates requisitions for stock as required for work being performed.
  • Strictly adheres to all company safety requirements and guidelines.
  • Works efficiently within production time standards to meet production deadlines.
  • Contributes to team effort by maintaining a positive outlook.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety requirements.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure customer needs are met.
