About The Position

The Electronics Assembler I is an entry‑level production role responsible for performing basic assembly, inspection, and packaging of electronic components and subassemblies. Working under close supervision, this position follows detailed work instructions and established procedures to assemble products accurately, efficiently, and safely. The role contributes to product quality, productivity, and on‑time delivery while developing foundational skills in electronics assembly. The Electronics Assembler I supports manufacturing operations by completing routine and well‑defined assembly tasks in accordance with documented standards and quality requirements. The role focuses on consistency, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality procedures. Success is demonstrated through proper execution of assigned tasks, minimal rework, and ongoing development of assembly skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble electronic components, parts, and subassemblies following work instructions, drawings, and bills of material
  • Perform repetitive assembly tasks using hand tools, fixtures, or basic equipment
  • Prepare components for assembly, including sorting, kitting, and identification
  • Follow standardized assembly sequences and procedures
  • Perform basic visual inspections to verify correct assembly and workmanship
  • Identify and report defects, missing components, or assembly issues
  • Follow quality standards to ensure products meet specifications
  • Follow established safety rules, ESD (electrostatic discharge) practices, and manufacturing procedures
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations in accordance with 5S or similar standards
  • Use tools and equipment safely and properly
  • Work with supervisors, leads, and team members to meet production goals
  • Communicate issues, questions, or concerns related to work assignments
  • Support line balancing, rework, or other production needs as directed
  • Learn basic electronics assembly techniques, materials, and terminology
  • Become familiar with manufacturing documentation and quality requirements
  • Participate in training to improve efficiency and skill level
