Requirements

  • Proficiently solder.
  • Read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
  • Understand standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
  • Regularly perform work that requires magnification.
  • Use of hand and power tools, custom tooling and perform work with strong manual dexterity on small components requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness.
  • Visually and mentally concentrate for prolonged periods of time.
  • Regularly perform work that requires magnification and distinguish among different color coatings on wires.
  • Perform standard software operations.
  • Infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 30 pounds without assistance.
  • Effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments.
  • Work in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.
  • Wear safety glasses ANSI Z87 approved, steel toe shoes and other PPE as required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of one-year previous manufacturing or related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, modify, rework, and repair SCBA accessories such as clear command, HUDs, power modules, and control modules.
  • Utilize and refer to drawings, assembly instructions, and specifications to perform assembly operations.
  • Identify assembly problems and make minor repairs.
  • Perform visual inspections.
  • Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system.
