About The Position

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for a Project Management Specialist (Level 5) position, to support the Electronics Unit Programs organization team based in El Segundo, CA. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations. This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in a related technical field
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion
  • 5+ years of experience working with military or space electronics
  • 5+ years of experience working in ambiguous and fast changing environments
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

  • Experience as a CAM (cost account manager) using EVM (earned value management)
  • Experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for cost, schedule, technical, and risk management for high reliability electronic unit hardware development and delivery.
  • Develop and maintain Earned Value baselines and status to plan.
  • Define required resources from space electronics engineering, operations, and supplier management to build cross functional unit level teams necessary to execute electronic units design, development, and delivery to programs.
  • Coordinate with programs and operations to optimize unit hardware production pipelines and deliveries.
  • Support weekly, monthly, and quarterly program and functional reporting cycles.
  • Perform unit sell-offs, project close-out, and document lessons learned for incorporation into future project plans and unit hardware roadmaps.
