About The Position

AQR Capital Management is seeking an exceptionally talented individual to join their Global Trading Strategies group as an Electronic Trading Analyst. This role focuses on transaction cost analysis, execution measurement, electronic trading, and market structure. The candidate will function as both a trader and an execution analyst, actively participating in the execution process while simultaneously analyzing performance across various asset classes. Key responsibilities include understanding the drivers of transaction costs and liquidity, identifying opportunities to enhance trading outcomes, and utilizing large trading and market datasets to build analytical tools. Findings will be systematically translated into improvements in execution strategy, algorithm selection and parameters, and trading workflows.

Requirements

1–3 years of relevant trading, electronic execution, or trading analytics experience
Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline, Finance, Economics or related quantitative field
Strong foundation in statistics, probability and quantitative analysis
Experience leveraging AI tools and technologies and working with large data sets
Understanding of transaction cost analysis, execution measurement, market structure, liquidity and the factors that drive transaction costs
Exposure to electronic execution, trading algorithms and broker/venue analysis
Cash equity experience
