About The Position

The Electronic Tester is responsible for testing electro-mechanical products for compliance to Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and customer/internal drawings. Work with PMO, as needed, for customer witness test. You will work with critical aircraft components (chip detectors) that directly support reliability and safety in flight.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent from accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical environment
  • Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).

Nice To Haves

  • Associates or Technical degree in Electronics or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of electronic testing experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of pressure theory, electronic theory, and, Ohm’s law and the relationship between resistance, current, and voltage.
  • When an assembly fails resistance at in process or final test the employee should be capable of diagnosing and recommending fixing, where applicable, in most cases.
  • Capable of measuring resistor components with multimeter
  • Ability to perform ATP product testing using Labview programming interface and test racks.
  • Knowledge of High and Low pressure test vessels and safety precautions when working
  • Proper use of Mil-Spec oils and gasses
  • Basic Electronics and Mechanical Theory in relation to PC Board troubleshooting

Responsibilities

  • Verify product compliance to Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) / drawings and maintain accurate ATP records.
  • Utilize test fixtures and test equipment including oscilloscopes, function generator, device programmer, mass spectrometer, vibration table, tenney chamber, hot oil room, etc. to perform ATP.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose common failure modes when test failures occur.
  • Inspect and diagnose PC Boards to component level (for failure analysis).
  • Work from work orders, engineering drawings, and visual/written work instructions to assemble electro-mechanical components.
  • Coordinate with Engineering group for shared resources and test validation.
  • Identify and initiate continuous improvement for product safety, quality, and efficiency.
