About The Position

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking to add an Electronic Technician 2 or 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our RQ-4 Global Hawk Test and Evaluation Organization. This position is located in Rancho Bernardo, CA. The selected candidate will be required to work full-time, on-site at our facility. There is no remote / hybrid / telework available for this position. Travel up to 10% may be required. The candidate will work within a technical team responsible for the building, integration, test and maintenance of communications hardware in laboratory ranging in complexity from single rack of equipment to 10+ racks and will provide technical support to engineers on a variety of technical tasks. The candidate should be a self-starter with familiarity working in an Integrated Product Team construct.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years additional education and/or related experience. (For ET 2)
  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience. (For ET 3)
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings in accordance with Industry standards, including rack assembly drawings, interconnect wiring diagrams and custom cable assemblies.
  • Working experience with industry standards for connectors
  • Must be physically able to move up to 50 lbs.
  • Must have color vision to identify cables and wires.
  • Ability to transfer and maintain the final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the Company.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the design and laboratory integration of communication systems and/or networked systems
  • Experience in industry standards for connectors including, but not limited to D38999, Dsub, twinax, RJ45, etc.
  • Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude to learn new material quickly.
  • Experience in aerospace

Responsibilities

  • Build systems using engineering drawings, configuration & recovery documentation,
  • Support startup and shutdown procedures, ATP/Delivery, as well as post-delivery support.
  • Support the build and installation of custom cables and wire harness assemblies as well as tray assemblies from engineering drawings and interconnect diagrams.
  • Produce engineering documentation, reports, drawings (flow charts, block diagrams, and schematics),
