About The Position

The Electronic Technician Maintenance II will be involved in corrective maintenance and preventative maintenance of Video Surveillance systems at Air Force and Navy Child Centers CONUS and OCONUS in support of the U.S. Navy / Air Force CYP CCTV with Access Control Lifecycle Support Service program. The work requires knowledge of basic and advanced electrical and electronic principles as they pertain to security systems and equipment installed at facilities. A successful candidate must have a solid history of functioning in a team environment, being a self-starter, working independently with limited instruction, and meeting critical demands.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Formal electronics training from: Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors.
  • Four (4) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance, and checkout.
  • One (1) year practical experience in electronics installation.
  • Standard MS Office software product knowledge (Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point) is required.
  • A successful candidate will be subject to a background investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Preference to candidate with IP-based CCTV experience.
  • Special consideration given to candidates with OEM factory training from Genetec, Axis and/or Cisco Switches.

Responsibilities

  • Provide preventive and remedial maintenance services on IP-based CCTV systems.
  • Diagnose and correct equipment malfunctions and failures.
  • Perform function tests and analysis on various systems.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and cleaning on all CCTV system components.
  • Provide on-site system training and technical support as needed.
  • Update web-based maintenance management system and provide tracking of government equipment.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and to have the ability work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
