About The Position

Bausch + Lomb is a global eye health company focused on protecting and enhancing sight. The Electronic Technician I will be responsible for programming and troubleshooting control systems, including PLCs, servo drives, AC drives, interface modules, DC Drives, and HMIs. This role also involves mechanical skills for assisting with repairs and performing preventative and predictive maintenance tasks. The position requires the ability to read, redline, and create electrical drawings, lead projects, make sound decisions, and utilize problem-solving tools. The candidate must be able to multi-task, coordinate projects, communicate results effectively, and work independently with minimal supervision. Identifying and implementing continuous improvement projects is also a key responsibility.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with control systems and electrical troubleshooting.
  • CMMS (MP2 preferred), PLCs (GE & Allen Bradley), Servo Controls, Drives, HMIs.
  • Associate’s degree in maintenance related field or 10 years maintenance experience with a High School diploma or GED.
  • Ability to read, redline, and create electrical drawings.
  • Ability to lead projects and/or work groups.
  • Ability to make sound decisions and use problem-solving tools.
  • Must be able to multi-task.
  • Must be able to coordinate projects and communicate results.
  • Must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team-oriented environment.
  • Must be a self-starter – work with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Lean Mfg. experience preferred.
  • Mechanical background.
