About The Position

Parsons is looking for an Electronic Technician Group Supervisor to join their team in Anchorage, AK. This role supports the FAA's Technical Support Services Contract 5 (T5), a significant contract focused on modernizing FAA infrastructure. The work involves a variety of technical services across the nation, including site selection, engineering, construction, installation, and testing of FAA equipment and systems. The contract typically supports an average staff of 400-500 employees, with peaks over 650, in addition to subcontractors.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or other related certification in a technical field, or equivalent technical related work experience.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Some experience in a lead capacity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of engineering and construction-related processes.
  • Familiarity with industry practices.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises a group of nonexempt employees engaged in electronics installation, testing, and troubleshooting of FAA equipment and systems.
  • Directs the work and manages the activities of employees assigned to the group.
  • Performs office project management assignments related to the installation of FAA equipment and systems.
  • Coordinates project staff for all aspects of electronics installation projects from start-up to closeout.
  • Provides technical guidance and oversight to subordinates, monitoring productivity and proficiency to ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, budgets, and procedures.
  • Maintains clear and concise work standards and goals, and provides training and development.
  • Ensures assigned personnel are thoroughly trained in and observe all safety measures.
  • Supports the development of Risk Management Plans (RMPs).
  • Creates Purchase Requisitions (PRs).
  • Coordinates resource needs with the regional program manager.
  • Works with field staff to handle daily issues, such as posting and organizing daily reports and project photos.
  • Ensures the document control system is administered and maintained according to Parsons and client procedures.
  • Establishes and maintains liaison with design engineering staff.
  • Reviews and interprets design drawings and specifications to ensure current revision level and feasibility for technical execution.
  • Ensures all work within the assigned scope is installed in accordance with plans, specifications, and industry/quality standards.
  • Ensures all tests and inspections are performed, witnessed, and documented according to approved procedures.
  • Collaborates with risk specialists to eliminate hazards affecting the environment or employee health and safety.
  • Ensures assigned personnel engage in safe work practices.
  • May assist work release project managers in portions of larger, more complex activities.
