About The Position

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for an Electronic Technician 3 based out of Rolling Meadows, IL. The selected candidate will perform a variety of technical functions in support of the design, assembly, testing, and maintenance of advanced electronic systems for mission-critical applications. This role requires hands-on work with electronic assemblies, circuit boards, and sophisticated test equipment to ensure all systems meet stringent performance and quality standards. The ideal candidate excels in a dynamic environment, demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, and is committed to delivering reliable, high-quality results.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience; OR an Associate’s degree in Electronics with 2 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in military or aerospace manufacturing or depot environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Active Secret clearance, or above, required to start.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with RF applications, TWT tuning, automated testing, and MPM/TX testing.
  • Experience with automated test systems and data acquisition software.
  • Experience with SAP/GOLD/ Microsoft Office suites.
  • Experience working with use of any RF test instruments such as (but not limited to) Performance Network Analyzer, Signal Generator, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope, etc.
  • DOD security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Conduct functional and performance testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic systems and subassemblies.
  • Operate specialized test stations and equipment, with a focus on RF applications and TWT (Traveling Wave Tube) tuning.
  • Perform automated testing and MPM/TX (Microwave Power Module/Transmitter) testing.
  • Execute test procedures, accurately record data, and ensure compliance with engineering specifications and military standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive test documentation and calibration records, adhering to safety and ESD protocols.
  • Support root cause analysis of test failures, including data collection and implementation of corrective actions.
  • Assist with environmental testing and system-level verification.
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with safety, quality, and security standards.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. +.
  • Must be available to work OT and possibly weekdays
