About The Position

At Vector Security, we are seeking an Electronic Systems Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the installation and/or servicing of residential systems and small to mid-sized commercial accounts. The position requires knowledge of basic wiring and panel programming, system set-up, basic troubleshooting, and the ability to explain systems to customers and answer their questions. Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent - required.
• Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving history.
• Completion of minimum training/certification checklist per Technician Career Path.
• Must be able to effectively communicate with various individuals in a professional manner in order to provide superior customer service.
• Must be able to understand technical functionality of various systems learned on-line and/or via hands-on instruction.

Nice To Haves

• 1 - 3 years of industry experience - preferred.
• Certified Alarm Technician level 1 or equivalent - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install/service residential systems and/or small to mid-sized commercial accounts.
• Accurately complete installations and/or servicing with frequent to minimal supervision.
• Troubleshoot basic systems of assigned types.
• Utilize skills in basic wiring, panel programming, and system set-up.
• Check for, and correct, any errors in work and paperwork.
• Display professionalism when interacting with and communicating with peers, manager, and customers.
• Train and mentor technicians by reviewing work of Entry Level technicians on shared job site and providing training to correct any errors.
