Requirements

  • Experience in electronic design for high-performance computers and digital systems.
  • Experience with lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
  • Experience in component selection, design, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience in bringing up, validating, and troubleshooting complex electronic systems.
  • Experience in analog electronics and/or power design.
  • Experience with Altium Designer and other schematic and PCB design tools.
  • Strong documentation and writing skills.
  • Team player, methodical, and organized.
  • A high aptitude for learning and adapting to new and quickly changing technologies.
  • US Citizenship/Permanent Residency is Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience as an electronics engineer.
  • Significant experience in electronic design for high-performance computers and digital systems.
  • Strong experience in analog electronics and/or power design (RF a plus).
  • Expert knowledge of lab equipment, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
  • Strong experience in component selection, design, testing, deployment, validation, and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems.
  • Strong experience with Altium Designer and other schematic and PCB design tools.
  • Basic knowledge of rugged electronics and modular electronic systems (e.g., VPX).
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical factors in high-performance electronics.
  • Knowledge of NASA and military reliability standards for electronics.
  • Experience with electronics engineering and production cycles in the space industry.
  • Experience in embedded systems engineering (FPGA, CPUs, DDR memory).
  • Experience with electronic components and materials in the space industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and lead small technical teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, test, and debug electronic systems with a focus on computing, embedded systems, and digital electronics.
  • Assist in the fabrication, assembly, and integration of project deliveries in-house and at integration sites as needed.
  • Design, test, and debug analog, mixed-signal, and power conversion electronic circuits as needed.
  • Generate documentation of electronic systems to be prototyped and produced.
  • Assist the supply chain team to ensure timely acquisition of materials and components.
  • Assist the production team in developing, performing, and documenting functional, environmental, and qualification test protocols.
  • Provide technical assistance in interfacing with vendors and material suppliers.
  • May interface with customers in collaboration with senior management.
  • May be involved in specifying, developing, and testing RTL and embedded software.
  • Experienced candidates have the potential to lead and coach a team of 1 to 3 other engineers.
