About The Position

Parsons is seeking an Electronics Security Systems Engineer to support and lead the design of complex Electronic Security Systems (ESS) for Department of Defense, Army Corps of Engineers, and Department of State customers. The position covers work from initial concept and site surveys through design and release for construction, as well as installation, integration, and testing support. Work is remote unless a client requests a site visit for coordination or construction support. The engineer interprets customer statements of work, specifications, and requirements and translates them into compliant ESS designs. The role involves coordinating with CADD designers to develop construction documents and bills of materials, working with project managers to understand engineering deliverables, reviewing network topologies with Network Engineering, and reviewing heat and power load calculations. The engineer also assists with planning and scheduling work packages and applies existing knowledge to become proficient with newly developed components and systems. Parsons' Critical Infrastructure team plans, designs, builds, and modernizes infrastructure in collaboration with colleagues, partners, and customers. The company describes its work as supporting economic growth, mobility, sustainability, resiliency, and quality of life.
