About The Position

TTM Technologies, Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of technology products, including mission systems, radio frequency (“RF”) components, RF microwave/microelectronic assemblies, and technologically advanced printed circuit boards (“PCB”s). TTM stands for time-to-market, representing how TTM's time-critical, one-stop design, engineering and manufacturing services enable customers to reduce the time required to develop new products and bring them to market. Assembles/disassembles electronic equipment or systems ranging in complexity from simple to highly complex for repair, rework and modification. Removes and replaces discrete components and microcircuits, installed using through hole and surface mount technology. Reworks damaged/defective printed circuit boards using various techniques and tools. Modifies units based on Engineering notes, schematics PCNs or rework instruction. Provides feedback to Service Center management and Engineering as necessary regarding product improvements or changes to ease assembly or modification. Simple to moderate level testing and troubleshooting. Occasional travel to support field modifications at customer sites.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3-5 years experience on an electronic production assembly line or service repair facility assembling reworking/repairing complex or highly complex electronic equipment
  • Ability to read and comprehend drawings, sketches, written assembly instructions and procedures written in English
  • Ability to communicate suggestions and ideas to improve products or procedures to department management
  • Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition of Foreign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize various soldering techniques to remove/replace wires, resistors, capacitors, microcircuits and other discrete components, etc. from circuit boards, chassis, etc.
  • Review and analyze sketches and drawings of parts and assemblies prepared by shop management or Engineering to determine how a unit is assembled and suggest changes when necessary.
  • Document work performed on standard company forms or electronic data collection devices.
  • Perform continuity testing, operate manual or ATE test equipment to supplement Service Technicians when necessary.
  • Support onsite repairs or modifications at customers’ facilities.
  • Perform additional tasks as may be directed by Departmental Management
