About The Position

Fiserv is seeking an Electronic Repair Technician for their Shoreview, MN location. In this role, you will receive training to repair Plastic Card Personalization equipment. You will perform complex technical maintenance, follow a preventative maintenance schedule for production machines and electrical/electronic equipment, ensure the completion of assigned maintenance work orders, and monitor work progress throughout the facility.

Requirements

• A high school diploma or GED required
• 3+ years of progressive maintenance repair and electronic/mechanical troubleshooting
• Willing to go back to school to earn degree or certification
• Mechanical aptitude
• Experience using a computer for data entry
• Experience with using hand tools like drill, screwdriver, and soldering equipment
• Must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in Electronic Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or Mechatronics or equivalent
• Military training and background
• 5+ years of production maintenance with electronic repair experience
• Experience with Bell & Howell Inserters
• Experience with Entrust (formerly DataCard), MX, & DX Embossing equipment
• Experience with Xerox Cut Sheet Printers
• Experience with Laser Engraving equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform disassembly, repair, or replacement of parts and/or production equipment
• Conduct fitting and alignment of mechanical components for proper functioning
• Utilize troubleshooting techniques to provide temporary and long-term fixes to minimize downtime
• Diagnose and correct maintenance issues on Credit Card Personalization Equipment, Mail Inserters, Cut Sheet Printers, Laser Printers, and Card Affixing equipment
• Analyze and interpret schematic diagrams for electronic troubleshooting
