The Prepress Operator position at ABS Graphics Inc. is an essential hourly role that directly reports to the Prepress Manager. As a key player in our production process, you will ensure the accuracy and quality of completed electronic file outputs before they move into production. Your attention to detail and proficiency in prepress operations will be crucial in maintaining the high standards for which our company is known. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, ensuring seamless communication and execution of projects. Requirements

  • Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Expertise in Acrobat and Enfocus PitStop.
  • Familiarity with the Kodak Prinergy workflow or equivalent systems.
  • Solid understanding of printing terminology and practices.
  • Ability to review and process client files while promptly addressing any potential issues.
  • Reliability, dependability, and a commitment to good attendance.
  • Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
  • Knowledge of color management principles and correcting skills.
  • Strong quality-checking skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret job tickets, instructions and procedures.
  • Basic computer skills (email, word processing, etc.).
  • Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude.
  • Must possess a high standard of personal integrity with ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the accuracy and quality of completed electronic file outputs before they move into production.
  • Review and process files received from customer and alert PrePress Manager, CSR, Sales and/or Customer to potential issues.
  • Perform quality checks in all stages of the PrePress process.
