About The Position

Track Group Inc., a global leader in the provision of advanced electronic monitoring and supervision solutions to the criminal justice/corrections market, is seeking an Electronic Monitoring Technician for its Indianapolis team. This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and removal of tracking devices for clients under court-ordered electronic monitoring (GPS or Home Detention) and/or alcohol monitoring in Marion County, Indiana. This is a hands-on position located in the Indianapolis office.

Requirements

Must be a quick learner, reliable, and a self-starter.
Must be able to type at least 45 words per minute.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and navigate computer databases such as Excel and software programs used for monitoring clients.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of standard policies and procedures.
Excellent phone and communication skills.
Must be able and willing to work 2nd shift (2:00pm to 10:00pm).
Must pass a drug screen and background check.
High School Diploma/equivalent.

Responsibilities

Install and remove electronic monitoring equipment and/or alcohol monitors in accordance with contractual guidelines.
Input data into computer software for monitoring purposes and into an Excel sheet for inventory purposes.
Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform routine equipment inspections to identify tampering or device malfunction.
Effectively communicate with clients to provide support and guidance on the equipment.
Properly clean equipment.
Collect fees from clients for home detention and/or alcohol monitoring, and for lost or damaged equipment.
Work in the Logistics Center as needed.
Triage returned GPS units and prepare them for redeployment.
