About The Position
As an Engineering Technician in MKS Valves Engineering team, you will play an important role within a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment. You will work closely with electrical, software, mechanical and test engineers to design, build, test, and troubleshoot equipment used around the world. Requirements
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Minimum 4 years of practical experience working with electronic systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Strong experience with component-level troubleshooting and circuit analysis.
- Experience performing PCB rework, including both surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole soldering.
- Hands-on experience using standard lab equipment, including: Oscilloscopes Digital multimeters (DMMs) DC power supplies and electronic loads
- Experience with PC based applications to include Microsoft Office package and email.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Providing technical support to the engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Reading and interpreting electrical and electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Troubleshooting analog and digital circuits down to the component level.
- Performing failure analysis, document findings, and generate detailed test reports.
- Assembling, testing, evaluating, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems, wiring, and equipment.
- Ordering and managing electrical components, tools, and lab supplies.
- Disassembling and reassembling complex mechanical and electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Supporting lab operations, including equipment maintenance, calibration tracking, and documentation.
