Electronic Engineering Manager
About The Position
Join our high-impact team developing next-gen Advanced Energy power supply products for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. We're seeking a creative, results-driven engineering manager to lead a multi-disciplinary team (electrical, mechanical, firmware, and advanced technology development) and drive product delivery from concept to launch. This role oversees new product development and portfolio sustaining efforts at a division level, with strong visibility to customers and leadership. Occasional travel may be required. Requirements
- Skilled at building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels to drive alignment and results.
- Proven leader in electronics and hardware development with hands-on experience managing people, teams, and cross‑functional projects.
- Proven track record of successful electronic product launches.
- 10+ years of experience in the electronics industry, with exposure to power electronics, plasma generation, and semiconductor process equipment.
- Familiar with lab test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, and DMMs, as well as typical design team equipment requirements.
- Understanding manufacturing processes including Six Sigma, Gauge R&R, ECO management, and production transfer.
Nice To Haves
- Strong background in circuit design analysis, prototyping, simulation, and validation— high power RF or SMPS power electronics experience.
- Working knowledge of compliance standards (UL, CSA, SEMI, IEC, ANSI, IPC); UL/CSA experience.
- PMP or Agile certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Lead new platform implementations and rapid prototyping initiatives.
- Manage personnel while providing systems‑level engineering leadership for plasma‑generating products.
- Translate customer needs into detailed component level requirements and ensure cross functional alignment.
- Set clear goals and priorities, communicating them effectively to the team.
- Apply agile methods to prioritize critical functionality and manage risks.
- Mentor engineers through technical coaching and architecture discussions.
- Oversee execution of programs following the Product Development Process (PDP).
- Ensure creation and maintenance of essential project documentation.
- Report progress and status to leadership against team commitments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, NPI, purchasing, quality, program management, finance, safety, production).
- Coordinate with advanced development teams to assess technology readiness.
- Interact with key customers, establishing trust and confidence in our products and engineering capabilities.
- Align with customer teams on requirements, integration, and issue resolution.
