About The Position

This is highly skilled electronics and electrician work involving the wiring, testing, installation, calibration, and repair of a wide range of electrical equipment. This includes instruments, programmable logic controllers, data transmission and acquisition systems, computers, telemetry, electrical co-generation equipment, and audio/video equipment. The role requires a thorough understanding of electronics and electrical systems, as well as proficiency in computer operations.

Requirements

• Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.) AND journeyman electrician with a certificate in electronics or related field; OR Graduation from high school (or G.E.D.) AND completion of a four year certificate program in electronics or an electronic related field; OR Associate degree in Electronics.
• Degree must be from a college or university that is accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools Higher Learning Commission or equivalent region.
• 5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic equipment.
• Thoroughly trained and competent in the use of personal computers and Windows operating systems.
• Experience in the maintenance and repair of computer hosted data acquisition systems including PLC and/or RTU functions.
• All experience must have been obtained within the past 10 years.
• Must possess a valid driver's license at time of appointment and maintain thereafter.
• Must not be colorblind.
