Gavial has an Electronics Assembler position open that requires Soldering experience that is used in the process of assembling electronic components, subassemblies, products, or systems by performing the following duties.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Soldering experience required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
  • Applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in electronic assembly or a related field is preferred.
  • J-STD-001 soldering certified preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to solder components
  • Read work orders, follow production drawings and sample assemblies, and/or receive and follow verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.
  • Position and align parts in specified relationship to each other in jig, fixture, or other holding device.
  • Crimp, stake, screw, bolt, rivet, weld, solder, cement, press fit, or perform similar operations to join or secure parts in place.
  • Mount assembled components, such as transformers, resistors, transistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and sockets, on chassis panel or printed wiring boards.
  • Connect component lead wires to printed circuit or route and connect wires between individual component leads and other components, connectors, terminals, and contact points.
  • Manufacture cables and wiring harnesses using copper wire, co-axial cable, twin-axial cable and fiber-optic cable.
  • Install finished assemblies or subassemblies in cases and cabinets.
  • Assemble and attach hardware, such as caps, clamps, knobs, and switches, to assemblies.
  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks, such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, impregnating, and color coding parts and assemblies.
  • Perform online inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.
